Eight members of the Emory University track and field team were named to the field for the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, to be held in Claremont, California from May 24th – 26th.

Participants from the Emory women's team will include senior Alix Dyer, junior Kaele Leonard, sophomore Morgan Monroe, senior Charlotte Diggs, senior Jasmine McCullough, senior Lauren Attiah and freshman Debora Adjibaba.  Senior Ian Francis will be the lone representative for the Emory men's team.

Dyer and Leonard are both slated to compete in the 400-meter dash, the preliminaries of which are scheduled for 8:50 PM ET on Friday, May 25th.  Should either advance, the finals of the event will be held at 6:40 PM ET on Saturday, May 25th.  Dyer is the 14th-seeded athlete in the event's field, while Leonard is seeded 18th.  This is the fourth year in a row that Dyer has competed in the NCAA Outdoor Championships, and the first trip for Leonard.

Monroe will compete in the 100-meter hurdles, where she will enter the race as the 19th-seeded athlete.  The preliminaries are scheduled for 8:05 PM ET on Friday, with the finals taking place at 6:15 PM ET on Saturday.  This is her first appearance at the NCAA Championships.

Diggs will be the 18th-seeded runner in the 400-meter hurdles, scheduled for an 8:05 PM ET preliminary run on Thursday, May 24th.  Should she advance to the finals, they will be held at 7:45 PM ET on Saturday.  This was the first NCAA Championship selection of Diggs' career.

Attiah was selected to compete in both the long jump and the triple jump at the NCAA Championships, as the 15th-seeded athlete in the former, and the ninth-seeded athlete in the latter.   The long jump will be held at 6:00 PM ET on Thursday, with the triple jump scheduled for a 6:00 PM ET start on Saturday.  This is the fourth-straight year that Attiah has competed in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, and her first selection to the long jump field.

The Emory women will also take part in two relays.  McCullough, Dyer, Attiah and Adjibaba are the seventh seed in the 4x100-meter relay, with the preliminaries starting at 7:00 PM ET on Thursday and the finals at 5:30 PM ET on Saturday.  In the 4x400-meter relay, Adjibaba, Attiah, Leonard and Dyer will enter as the seventh-seeded team, running the preliminaries at 12:00 AM ET on Friday morning (9:00 PM Thursday local time), and the finals at 9:20 PM ET on Saturday.

Francis will be competing as the 13th seed in the long jump at 8:50 PM ET on Thursday, and as the ninth seed in the triple jump at 3:50 PM ET on Saturday.  This will be the second-straight year that Francis has been selected to the outdoor championships, competing in the triple jump last season.
