Emory University sophomore James Bassen set a new personal best in the weight throw at the Panther Ice Breaker, the first meet of the 2012-13 Indoor Track and Field season for the Eagles.  Bassen recorded a distance of 12.26 meters in the weight throw, topping his previous career-best mark by nearly two meters and finishing 20^th overall in the event at the meet.
