The Emory University track and field team wrapped up a busy weekend on Sunday by sending a small group of competitors to the Winston-Salem State Open at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Senior Theresa Ford turned in one of the top performances on the day for Emory, winning the high jump by clearing the bar at a height of 1.62 meters.  It was the best jump this season by an Eagle, and tied her for the 14^th-best Division III mark so far this year.  Ford also recorded a jump of 5.20 meters for a fourth-place finish in the long jump, also her best mark of the year, and a throw of 9.16 meters in the shot put, finishing third.

Also on the women's side, sophomore Ulrica Tull claimed second in the shot put with a throw of 9.22 meters, and sophomore Taylor Williams finished tied for third in the shot put (9.16 meters) and 19^th in the long jump (4.59 meters).

Competing in the men's pole vault for Emory, freshman Young Jin Kim finished sixth after clearing a height of 3.75 meters, while junior Somon Nader finished eighth after topping the bar at 3.60 meters.  In the weight throw, freshman Taylor Jarl claimed ninth place with a mark of 10.72 meters, while freshman Jacob Seigel placed 10^th with a toss of 9.93 meters.  Seigel also placed 13^th in the shot put (11.81 meters) while Jarl claimed 15^th-place in the event (11.67 meters).  Sophomore Louis Mennel rounded out the men's performances with a time of 25.35 seconds in the 200-meter dash, finishing 40^th in the event.
