Emory University runners recorded five new personal-best times and season-best times for the squad in three events, while in action in distance and mid-distance events at the Hilton Garden Innvitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Friday and Saturday.

Emory's lone runner on Friday night, junior Craig Melissas, recorded a personal-best time in the 5,000-meter run for the second time in five days, finishing 23rd in the event with a time of 16:11.87.

For the men on Saturday, junior Edward Mulder recorded an Emory season-best in the mile run, finishing ninth with a time of 4:21.96, the fourth-fastest by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season.  Freshman Lukas Mees finished 26th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:58.83, the fastest mark by an Eagle in 2013.  Sophomore Cameron Wheeler finished 52nd with a personal-best time of 9:25.18 in the 3,000-meter run, while sophomore Hirsh Gaikwad finished 61st with a time of 9:41.28.

For the women, sophomore Stephanie Crane recorded the second-fastest time by a UAA competitor this season in the mile run, finishing seventh with a time of 5:07.89.  It was also the fourth-best time in Emory history, and the 17th-best mark by a Division III runner this season.  Sophomore Marissa Gogniat added a career-best mile time of 5:17.71, good for a 26th-place finish.
