Emory Track & Field to Split Squad over Three Meets

Emory University will be sending athletes to three different outdoor track and field meets this weekend, as the Eagles will take part in both the Bulldog Heptathlon and the Johnson C. Smith University Invitational on Friday and Saturday, the Blue Shoes Track Invitational on Saturday.

The Bulldog Heptathlon will be hosted by the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.  Emory's lone participant will be senior Theresa Ford, who will be competing in her career outdoor heptathlon.  The first four events will take place on Friday, April 12th, starting at 10:45 AM, with the final three to be contested on Saturday, April 13th, beginning at 10:00 AM.  Live results are available at http://www.spato.us/cresults/2013/gamulti/.

The majority of Emory's squad will head to the Blue Shoes Track Invitational, hosted by Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.  The meet is scheduled for a 10:00 AM start on Saturday.  Fans can follow the action at the meet with live results at http://www.timinginc.com/index.html.

Emory is currently scheduled to send a smaller contingent of athletes to Johnson C. Smith University, which will host its annual invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The bulk of the events will take place on Saturday, April 13th, with just the hammer and javelin being contested on Friday, April 12th.  Action at the meet is slated to start at 3:00 PM on Friday and 9:00 AM on Saturday.

Full results and a recap of Emory's performances during the weekend will be posted to EmoryAthletics.com following the completion of competition.
