Eagles Excel Despite Bad Weather at Bob Pollock Invitational

A small group of Emory University athletes fought through poor weather conditions at the Bob Pollock Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Clemson University, to record quality marks during the squad's first action since last weekend's University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships.

Junior Mike Moserowitz led the way for Emory's men, finishing third in the long jump with a leap of 6.79 meters, a new career-long outdoor mark, and the best jump by an Eagle this season.  Senior Isaac Chambers also competed, finishing sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.07 seconds.

For the women, senior Kaele Leonard finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.83 seconds.  She also claimed fifth place in the 200-meter dash in a mark of 25.82 seconds.

Emory is scheduled to return to action at the Dr. Keeler Invitational in Naperville, Illinois next Thursday and Friday.
