Leonard & Moserowitz Claim UAA Athlete of the Week Honors

Emory University senior Kaele Leonard and junior Mike Moserowitz were named the University Athletic Association's (UAA) Athletes of the Week for Track and Field after their performances at the Bob Pollock Invitational at Clemson University last Saturday.

Leonard recorded a pair of top-five finishes at the meet, including a runner-up finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.83 seconds.  She also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.82 seconds.  This marked the fifth time this season that Leonard has been named a UAA Athlete of the Week for Track and Field.

Moserowitz recorded a career-best mark in the long jump at the meet, finishing third in the event with a jump of 6.79 meters.  The mark surpassed his previous career-best by three-hundredths of a meter, and was the top jump this season by a UAA competitor.  This was Moserowitz's second-career UAA Athlete of the Week honor.

The Eagles will be back in action this week, competing at the Dr. Keeler Invitational on Thursday and Friday.
