Emory University sophomore Maxwell Hoberman was the Eagles’ top finisher in the triple jump, and helped lead the 4x400-meter relay team to the top-time in the University Athletic Association (UAA) this season at the Samford Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama last weekend.  Hoberman finished 22^nd in the triple jump with a leap of 13.40 meters.  It was the second-longest triple jump in the UAA this season, behind only his conference-leading jump of 13.96 meters recorded earlier this season.  He later ran the leadoff leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, which finished 14^th in a time of 3:21.82, the best mark by a UAA relay in 2014 and the sixth-best time in school history.
