Emory University junior Gui Silva was the Eagles’ top performer in a pair of events at the Bob Pollock Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina last weekend.  Facing mostly NCAA Division I competition, Silva finished 11^th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.78 seconds, the fastest mark by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season.  Earlier in the weekend, he placed ninth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.10 seconds, the fastest by an Eagle in 2014 and third among all UAA runners.
