Emory University junior Gui Silva won the conference championship in the 400-meter dash and was a part of two all-conference relays at the 2014 University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships.  Silva won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.46 seconds, becoming the first Eagle to win the event at the conference championship meet since Frederick Linton in 2008.  He was the anchor leg of a pair of runner-up relay teams, helping the 4x100-meter relay finish second in a time of 42.40 seconds, and the 4x400-meter relay team claim second-place with a mark of 3:17.58 (the 18^th-best mark in Division III this season).  Silva also scored with a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash, running a time of 22.03 seconds in the finals.  He totaled 20 points for Emory during the meet, helping the Eagles finish in third place in the team standings.
