Emory University sophomore Grant Murphy recorded the second-fastest mile time in the program’s history at the Samford Open in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday.  Murphy’s time of 4:14.84 was a personal-best by 11.26 seconds, and is the fastest time by an Eagle this season.  In addition, the time ranks as the 34^th-fastest in Division III this season, and the third-fastest in the University Athletic Association.
