Emory University freshman Shane Sullivan notched the fastest 3,000-meter run time this season by a University Athletic Association competitor, while in action at the Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday. Sullivan finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:41.99, the sixth-fastest time in the event in the program’s history. It was the fastest raw time in the event by a UAA runner this season by nearly 11 seconds, and the fastest converted time by 4.69 seconds.
