Hoberman Finishes Ninth in Triple Jump at NCAA Championships

Making his first appearance at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships, Emory University junior Maxwell Hoberman placed ninth in the triple jump, as the Eagles' only competitor in action during the weekend at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Hoberman's jump of 14.08 meters, coming on his second jump of the day, was his second-best mark of the season in the event.  It was also the second-best distance of his indoor career, and the 10th-best mark in school history in the triple jump.

Hoberman advanced to the finals of the event, but fell just short of all-America honors, awarded to the top-eight finishers.

The meet concludes the 2015 indoor season for the Eagles.  The team will open its outdoor campaign next weekend, hosting the Emory Invitational on March 20th and 21st.
