The Eagles' Track and Field team will host an outdoor meet at the Woodruff Physical Education Center for the second-straight weekend, as the Emory Classic will take place on Friday, March 27th and Saturday, March 28th.
Action is scheduled to begin with the hammer throw on Friday at 12:30 pm, with track events beginning at 3:00 pm with the men's 400-meter hurdles. The meet will continue at 8:30 am on Saturday, with action slated to wrap-up around 5:00 pm on the second day. The Emory Classic will be a scored collegiate meet.

Over 30 schools are currently scheduled to attend the meet, including Anderson, Bethel, Birmingham-Southern, Clayton State, Columbus State, Covenant, Emmanuel, Georgia College & State University, Georgia State, Grinnell, GRU Augusta, Kennesaw State, Lee, Marian, Mercer, Methodist, Mobile, Morehouse, Nazareth, North Georgia, Oglethorpe, Rust, South Alabama, St. John's, Taylor, Tulane, Tuskegee, the University of the South, Western Carolina and Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The Emory women won the 2014 Emory Classic, scoring 193 points to finish ahead of second-place Alabama-Huntsville (158) and third-place Columbus State (112). The men's side of the meet was won by Alabama-Huntsville with 181.5 points, followed by Emory in second with 166 points, and Cumberlands in third with 100.5 points.
