Track & Field Continues Outdoor Season with Emory Classic

The Emory University track & field programs continue their outdoor season with the Emory Classic this Friday and Saturday at the Woodruff PE Center.

The meet is set to start at 2:00 PM on Friday with the field events, beginning with the men’s and women’s hammer throw. On Saturday, the meet will kick off at 9:30 AM with women’s 100m trials and will run all day until the men’s and women’s 4x400m Relay at 3:50 PM and 4:00 PM. Competing at the Emory Invitational along with the Eagles will be Berry, Central State, Clark Atlanta, Cumberlands, Hope, Jacksonville State, Lee, Life, Mercer, North Georgia, Paine, SCAD, Sewanee, Shenandoah, Tiffin, Troy, Tuskegee, USC Aiken and Youngstown State.

Taylor took home first place on the women’s side at last year’s meet, just edging out Emory 113-112. On the men’s side, the Eagles captured first place with 149 points, edging out second place Marian (Ind.) by 21.5 points.

Results will be posted on emoryathletics.com after each day of competition with a full recap of Emory performances to follow at the conclusion of the meet on Saturday.
