The Emory University Track and Field program sent its throwers to the Gotta Run Invite at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina on Friday afternoon. 

Junior Jalen Nixon led the Eagles with a fifth place finish in the javelin with a distance of 44.44m in his first throw of the day.

In the men's hammer throw, freshman Tyler Edwards took home a 13^th place finish throwing a 36.19m mark followed by a 23^rd place finish from fellow freshman Rohan Vasandani with a distance of 25.34m. Vasandani also competed in the discus event finishing 21^st in the event with a mark of 32.89m.

For the women, freshman Mable Mutumwa took 17^th in the hammer throw with a distance of 31.81m followed by a 25^th place finish from junior Alexa Kondas throwing a 27.80m mark. The duo also competed in the discus event with Kondas taking 14^th (24.82m) and Mutumwa finishing 16^th (24.63m).

The Eagles will return to competition competing in the Flames Invitational in Cleveland, Tennessee beginning on Friday, April 5.
