Title: Assistant Coach

Glenn Arnold is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Emory men's and women's track teams. He joined the Emory staff in August, 2005.   

At Emory, Arnold's responsibilities include coaching athletes in the throwing events, recruiting, making travel arrangements, meet management and filming, editing and analyzing film.

Prior to Emory, Arnold was in Athens, Ohio, where he received his Masters of Science in Recreation and Sport Science (June, 2005).  While working on his degree he was an assistant track coach for Western Brown High School and Eastern Meigs High School.  His responsibilities included coaching the throwing events, as well as overseeing the training for the same events.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio.  He earned his Bachelors of Science in Sports and Exercise Science in May of 2003, graduating cum laude. 

While at Rio Grande, he was a member of the track and field team.  He was a three-time NAIA qualifier in the 35 lb. weight throw, hammer and discus.  He was also a two-time American Mid-East Conference Champion and NAIA Scholar All-American.

Arnold is a member of the U.S. Track Coaches Association and National Throws Coaches Association, while also having his U.S. Track and Field Coaches Association Diploma and U.S.A. Track and Field Certification, Level 1. He is also CPR/AED Certified by the American Heart Association.
