Emory University senior Tommy Fyffe (Cincinnati, OH) has been named the University Athletic Association Cross Country Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Sewanee Invitational last weekend.  It marks the second time during his cross country career at Emory that he has earned the honor.

Fyffe helped the Eagles to a second-place finish out of 11 teams at the Invitational with their total of 50 points trailing only Division I member Mississippi State's 24 points.  Fyffe topped the 123-runner field with an 8K time of 25:36 and keyed the team's performance that saw it place three finishers among the top eight overall.

The 18^th-ranked Eagles return to action on Sept. 19 when they compete at the UGA Invitational in Athens.
