Senior Alex Fleischhacker was the top runner for the Emory men's
cross country team at the 2014 season-opening Berry
Invitational.
Fleischhacker, a two-time All-South/Southeast Region honoree,
clocked an 8K time of 27:23 that placed second overall in the
43-runner field, and that helped the Eagles to a second-team place
finish. His outing helped the team capture three of the top
seven overall spots in the competition.
The Eagles concluded the Invitational with 31 points, one shy of
SCAD Savannah's first-place effort. Berry was third with 67
points while LaGrange closed out the field with 120 points.
Emory returns to action on Sept. 13 when it competes at the Furman
Classic.
