Emory University senior Lukas Mees (Marion, IA) has been named by the University Athletic Association as Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week following his performance at Furman Classic.  It is the second time in his career that he has been chosen for the award.

Mees helped the squad to a third-place finish out of 19 teams in the Division II, III and NAIA competition of the Classic, clocking a personal-best time of 25:30 that placed fifth in a 174-runner field.

Emory returns to action on Friday, September 25, when it competes at the Charlotte Invitational.
