Sophomore (2016):
Competed in seven races and scored on six occasions ... Came through with a personal-best 8k time of 25:50 at the UAA Championships ... Second Emory runner to cross the finish line and 24th out of 226 entries at the Furman Classic, posting a 25:59 at the Furman Classic ... No. 3 among the Eagles' pack and brought home all-region accolades after finishing 27th out of 208 contestants at the NCAA South/Southeast Region Championships with a time of 26:32 ... At the 8k Greater Louisville Classic, he registered a time of 26:03 that was fifth on the team and 42nd out of 391 runners.

Freshman (2015):
Competed in all eight meets and scored for the Eagles on four occasions ... Recipient of the program's Most Outstanding Newcomer Award ... Eagles' final scorer at the UAA Championships, posting a season-best 8K time of 26:18 ... Helped Emory to a third-place finish out of 19 teams by scoring as its No. 4 runner and ranking 25th out of 174 entries at the Furman Classic with a time of 26:33.3 ... Among the Emory contingent who raced at the NCAA D-III Championships ... Fifth on the team and sixth overall in a 47-runner field at the JSU Foothills Invitational (26:27).

High School:
Earned four varsity letters in cross country and three in track while at Bellarmine College Prep ... Was coached by Patrick McCrystle ...  Helped the cross country and track programs to four WCAL League titles ... Member of three cross country teams that raced to section championships ... Heading into his senior year, Bellarmine cross country was ranked 44th nationally in the preseason rankings ....  Top time in the three-mile run was 16:02 ... Clocked a 1,600-meter effort of 4:32 ... Also played lacrosse and soccer.

Personal:
Son of Daniel and Amber Shaw ... Was his high school's Spanish Department Award winner as a senior.
