Freshman Georgia Pineda had one of the best weekends of her career throwing two complete games against the Brandeis Judges on Saturday and Sunday. She threw eight innings of solid work in Emory's 4-3 win on Saturday allowing just one earned run and posting two strikeouts. She followed with a seven-inning outing on Sunday in the Eagles' 6-1 win allowing one earned run and two strikeouts. Pineda finished the weekend with a 2-0 records while posting a 0.93 ERA in her two starts and held opponents to a .232 batting average.
