Sophomore Mackenzie Duford has been selected as the University Athletic Association Softball Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Duford's selection marks her second this season and the fourth of her career.

She played a major role in Emory's sweep of NYU this past weekend, Emory's first UAA series sweep since 2019 against Brandeis. She threw 9.2 innings of work and only allowed six hits, including just two in game three of the series. She got the win on Saturday in game three of the series after throwing a complete game and striking out three batters while allowing just one walk through her 9.2 innings.

Duford's 3.47 season ERA ranks eighth in the UAA this season and she's posted 54 strikeouts ranking fourth in the conference.

The Eagles will travel to St. Louis, Missouri to face the WashU Bears in the final UAA series of the season beginning on Friday at 4:00 PM EST.
