Perelini Bush joined the Emory softball program as an assistant coach in July of 2016.

Bush comes to the Emory program after a two-year stint as the head softball coach at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, California.  This past year, Bush guided the program to a 17-10 won-lost ledger.

The former Perelini Koria, she enjoyed a standout four-year career (2009-2012) at the University of Arizona where she played for head coach Mike Candrea. She saw action in a total of 237 contests, 235 in a starting capacity, and closed out her tenure as a Wildcat in the No. 5 spot on the school’s all-time ladder with 61 home runs. She garnered All-Pacific 12 Conference Honorable Mention acclaim her first three seasons before landing second team-honors her senior year.

“Perelini brings a wealth of competitive knowledge and wisdom to our program and I am excited to welcome her to our Emory family,” Siqueiros said. “Not only has she experienced championships as an athlete, she has championship coaching experience as well.  As a player, she handled some of the top pitchers in the nation and helped Arizona advance to the championship game of the 2010 College World Series.  Her transition to a high school head coach saw her transform her team into champions in two just seasons."

After graduating from Arizona in 2012 with her bachelor’s degree in psychology, Bush served on the coaching staff at Cal Lutheran University in 2013. She is in the process of obtaining her master’s degree from Concordia University (CA) in coaching and athletic administration.
