Junior Melissa Koike
averaged a team-high 10.5 points in road contests at Washington
University and the University of Chicago over the
weekend. Against the Bears of Wash U, the 5-foot-7
Koike was the sqaud's lone double-figure scorer, coming off
the bench to total 10 points. Koike knocked down a pair of
treys in that contest along with both of her free
throw attempts. In the Eagles' following contest
against the Maroons, Koike once again provided some scoring punch
off the bench, picking up 11 points on two-of-five shooting from
the floor while knocking down all seven of her free throw
attempts en route to her fourth double-digit scoring performance of
the season. She also came up with a game-high fur steals and
dished out two assists.
Melissa has come off the bench in all 14 games and is averaging 6.5
points per outing. She is shooting 55.2 percent from the
floor (32-of-58) and 94.4 percent from the foul line
(17-of-18).
