Emory senior Misha Jackson sparked the No.
18 Eagles to three wins following finals and holiday break, helping
the squad raise its overall record to 11-1, 1-0 in UAA action.
Jackson averaged 14.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in wins over Piedmont
(Dec. 29), Huntingdon (Dec. 31) and Rochester (Jan. 5). The
5-foot-11 Jackson scored in double figures in all three outings,
averaging 14.7 points per game in that stretch, while pulling down
6.7 rebounds. In addition, she shot a team-high 57.1 percent
(20-of-35) from the floor and came up with seven steals.
In a 70-56 triumph over Piedmont, Misha recorded her fifth
double-double of the season, totaling a team-high 20 points while
tying for team honors with 10 rebounds. She followed that
with 10 points in just 18 minutes of play in the Eagles' 88-44
decision over Huntingdon before registering 14 points, hitting
seven-of-13 from the floor, in a 73-67 double-overtime victory at
Rochester.
A starter in all 12 contests, Jackson stands third on the team in
scoring (12.0 ppg), and is first in both rebounding (9.0 rpg) and
field goal percentage (.504).
