Dumebi Egbuna

Freshman Dumebi Egbuna led the Emory women's basketball team in scoring and was second in rebounding in helping the squad to a pair of home wins. 

The 5-foot-11 Egbuna averaged 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds as the Eagles upped their overall record to 10-6, 2-3 in the UAA, following triumphs over Case Western Reserve and Carnegie Mellon.  She paced the team with a 55.0 percent mark from the floor, hitting 11-of-20 opportunities. 

Egbuna was second on the squad in scoring, tying her season best with 13 points, while grabbing seven boards in a 65-62 decision over CWRU with her rebound total second on the team.  She ended that contest sinking six-of-11 from the floor while converting her lone free throw attempt.  She followed that effort by tying for both the team lead in scoring, with a season-high 15 points, and with six caroms in a 62-57 verdict over Carnegie Mellon.  She was successful on five-of-nine from the field and five-of-seven from the charity stripe en route to her seventh double-figure scoring contest of the season. In addition, she also came up with three steals against the Tartans.
