The Emory University women's soccer team saw its 27-match home unbeaten streak end on Sunday, as the Eagles lost 4-2 to Brandeis University at the Woodruff Physical Education Center.

The loss was the first at home for the Eagles since October 27^th, 2006, when Emory dropped a decision to the University of Rochester.  The Eagles had gone 22-0-5 during the 27-match stretch, and are now 1-1-4 at home this season.

After falling behind in the fourth minute of play, the Eagles answered back with a 27^th-minute goal, as sophomore Caroline Coates scored her second goal of the season.  She scored the goal after junior Talia Dweck's corner kick was deflected to Coates by Katy Kruse.

However, things quickly fell apart for the Eagles in the second half, as Brandeis would score three unanswered goals in a 10 minute stretch, from the 57:37 mark until the 66:54 mark, taking a 4-1 lead over Emory.

The Eagles would try to rally late, as Olivia Lezanski scored her second goal of the season of another Dweck assist in the 80^th minute, but 4-2 would be as close as the Eagles would get for the rest of the contest.

Dweck's two assists in the game give her a team and career-high nine this season and her third in the last two games.  Her 19 career assists are the 13^th most in school history, and she is now two assists shy of the school single-season record.

With the loss, the Eagles fell to 4-3-5 on the season, including 0-2-2 in UAA games.  Brandeis improved to 7-4-3 overall and to 1-2-1 in conference play.

The Eagles will look to end their four-match winless streak on Thursday, as the team will travel to face Berry College at 4:00 PM.
