The Emory University women's soccer team will look to end its
season on a positive note, as the Eagles will host Carnegie Mellon
University on Saturday and the University of the South on
Sunday.
Saturday's match against the Tartans is slated for a 1:30 PM start,
while Sunday's contest with the Tigers will begin at 12:30
PM. The Eagles will also hold their annual ‘Senior Day'
ceremonies on Sunday, where graduating seniors Talia
Dweck and Olivia Lezanski will be
honored. Both matches will have live stats and webcasts.
Emory will enter the contest on a two-game winning streak, bringing
their record to 6-5-5 on the season and to 1-3-2 in conference
play. The Eagles are currently in sixth place in the
University Athletic Association (UAA). Emory is 1-1-4 at home
this season.
Carnegie Mellon holds a 6-7-2 overall record during the campaign,
and is currently tied with Emory for sixth in the UAA with a 1-3-2
conference record. The Tartans, who have lost two-straight
matches, are 2-6-0 away from home this season.
Emory is 14-3-0 all time against Carnegie Mellon, including a 1-0
double-overtime win last season in Pittsburgh, PA.
The University of the South will begin the weekend with a record
10-2-3 record and ranked seventh in the South Atlantic
Region. The Tigers are 6-0-1 away from home this
season.
Emory is 18-2-2 all time against Sewanee, including a 2-1 loss on
the road last season. Junior Lauren Smith
has a career goal against the Tigers, and Dweck and junior
Melanie Levy each have career assists.

The Eagles are coming off a 1-0 win on Tuesday against
Oglethorpe... Emory scored the only goal of the game on an own goal
by Oglethorpe... Emory's defense has allowed just 17 shots to
opponents in its last three games, and just four shots on goal
during that stretch... The Eagles have held their opponents to
under 10 shots in a game eight times this season... Emory senior
Talia Dweck is one assist shy of the school record
for assists in a season, and is currently tied for ninth in the
program's history with 20 career assists.
