The Emory women's soccer team will head north in search of its
first conference win of the season, as the Eagles will take on the
10th-ranked University of Rochester on Friday, October
30th at 7:30 PM, and Case Western Reserve University on
Sunday, November 1st at 1:30 PM.
The Eagles will enter the weekend with a 4-4-5 record, including a
mark of 0-2-2 in University Athletic Association (UAA)
matches. Emory is 3-3-1 in matches away from the Woodruff
P.E. Center this season and 2-3-0 in true road matches.
The University of Rochester, ranked 10th in the latest
NSCAA Division III poll and 13th in the D3Soccer.com
poll, will enter play on Friday with a 10-3-2 record. The
Yellowjackets are 3-1-0 in conference matches, putting the team in
second place in the UAA. Rochester is 4-0-1 at home this
season.
Last season, the Eagles defeated the Yellowjackets 1-0 in a
double-overtime match at the WoodPEC. Emory's Talia
Dweck has a career assist against Rochester. The
Eagles are 6-12-4 all time against Rochester.
Case Western Reserve will begin the weekend with an 8-5-2 record
overall this season, and will face Carnegie Mellon University on
Friday before hosting the Eagles on Sunday. The Spartans are
2-2-0 in UAA matches this season, and 2-3-2 in home matches.
Case is ranked ninth in the central region.
Last season, the Eagles earned a 3-1 win over the Spartans at the
Woodruff P.E. Center. Emory junior Meghan
McMahon has a career goal against Case, while junior
Lauren Smith and sophomore Claire
Rubel each have assists.

Emory is one tie shy of matching the program's record for
draws in a single season... Senior Talia Dweck
leads the team with 11 points this season, despite having just one
goal this year... Dweck's nine assists are two shy of the school's
single-season record... The co-captain also ranks 16th
in Division III with 0.69 assists per game... Dweck leads the
conference in both points (six) and assists (four) in UAA
matches... Junior Meghan McMahon scored her
team-leading fifth goal of the season during Emory's 2-1 loss to
Berry College last Thursday... Junior goalkeeper Kirsten
Baecher leads the conference with 27 saves in UAA matches
this season.
