Emory University freshman Lauren Gorodetsky helped the team both defensively and offensively, during the eighth-ranked Eagles 2-0 win over Berry College on Saturday. The defender played the entirety of the Eagles victory, helping to hold the Lady Vikings to just three shots on goal, including just one in the second half. The shutout was the team’s eighth of the season, lowering the squad’s goals-against average to 0.45. Gorodetsky also assisted on Emory’s second goal of the game, her first collegiate helper. She has scored two goals as well for a total of five points this season. Gorodetsky’s performance has helped Emory to a 12-1-2 record in 2010.
