(Soccer – Defense) Emory University senior Emily Rubin helped lead an Eagles backfield that allowed just two goals on seven shots on goal over two games last weekend.  Rubin played the first 70 minutes of Emory’s 2-1 win over Bridgewater College on Saturday, holding her opponents scoreless on just two shots (neither of which were on goal) while she was in the game.  On Sunday, the defender played all 110 minutes of the Eagles’ 1-1 tie against 12^th-ranked Rowan University, holding the Profs to their season lows with one goal, nine shots, and six shots on goal.  Rubin and the Emory defense has recorded a 0.73 goals against average this season, helping the Eagles start the season with a 4-0-1 record.
