Emory University junior Erica Stein allowed one goal over two UAA games last weekend, helping the fifth-ranked Eagles clinch the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship. Stein earned the victory in the Eagles’ 3-0 win over Brandeis University on Friday, making one save during a scoreless first half. During a 3-2 overtime win against New York University on Sunday, she allowed a goal on a penalty kick in the first half, just the second goal she has allowed all season. Stein is now 10-0-1 this season with a 0.25 goals against average and a .800 save percentage, and has been a part of 13 shutouts. Stein and the Eagles clinched the sixth UAA Championship in the program’s history, improving to 5-0-1 in conference play and to 14-0-2 overall in 2011.
