Hirst appeared in eight games off the bench for the Eagles during the 2011 campaign. Her one goal during the season was a key goal for Emory, as Hirst registered the lone score in a 1-0 win at the University of Rochester on October 16th. Prior to Emory:
Played on the Conestoga High School soccer team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during her senior year... Helped her team to the state championship in 2007-08 and 2008-09, the district championship in 2007-08, and central league championships in 2007-08 and 2008-09... Coached by Danielle Fagan and Megan Brogan in high school... Played club soccer for the Vincent Blizzards for two years, where she was coached by Kendall Walkes... Also ran track in high school.
