Emory University junior co-captain Kelly Costopoulos scored the game-winning goal during the Eagles’ 3-0 game against Covenant College last Monday. Costopoulos scored just 34 seconds into the game, the fourth-fastest goal scored in a game in Emory history. It was the attacking center midfielder’s team-leading seventh goal of the season, and her team-best fourth game-winning goal of the campaign. She now ranks 13th in school history with 19 career goals, and fourth with nine career game-winning goals. Costopoulos and the Eagles are 11-1-5 overall this year.
