Freshman (2013):
Matis played in 15 games for the Eagles during her freshman campaign. She made the first start of her career against then fourth-ranked Lynchburg on September 15th, playing 78 minutes in the game and helping the Eagles to a 3-1 victory. The forward recorded an assist (her first-career point) during the Eagles’ 8-0 win over Agnes Scott on October 23rd. Matis finished the season with 23 shots, including 10 on goal, during her 531 minutes of action in 2013.

Prior to Emory:
Was a four-year member of the Fairfield Ludlowe High School
girls soccer team, serving as the team captain during her senior
year... Was named to the all-FCIAE Second Team from 2012-13, and an
honorable mention from 2011-12... Led her high school team with 17
goals and nine assists... Coached by Kate Dawson in high school...
Played club soccer for the Yankee United Blaze, where she was
coached by Nicki Pereira... Helped her club team achieve the
top-ranking in Connecticut for three years, in addition to ranking
ninth in Region 1 and 34th in the Nation.
Personal:
Born September 14th... Member of the National Honor Society, and
the Math and Science National Honor Societies in high school.
