Emory University sophomore center back Hannah Meyer helped lead Emory to a 1-0-1 record at the Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists Classic, playing all 200 minutes for the 11^th-ranked Eagles defense.  Meyer and the Eagles’ backline yielded just one goal during the two games for a goals-against average of 0.45, limiting the opposition to a combined four shots on goal and ten total shots.  During Saturday’s 2-0 shutout win over host Virginia Wesleyan College, the reigning University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year scored the game-winning goal in the 16^th minute (the first goal of her career), and led an Emory backline that held the Marlins to just four shots, none of which were on goal.  The previous day, during a 1-1 double-overtime tie with Christopher Newport University, Meyer helped hold the Captains to six shots, four of which were on goal.
