Sophomore (2014):

Bassell played in six games off the bench for Emory during her sophomore season.  She took two shots in 2014, both coming during the team’s 9-0 win at LaGrange College on October 22^nd.

Freshman (2013):

Bassell played in 12 games during her freshman season, including a pair of starts.  She finished the campaign with two assists, both coming during the Eagles’ 8-0 win over Agnes Scott College on October 23^rd.  Also in the game, the center midfielder registered a season-high seven shots, six of which were on goal (the most by an Eagle in a game during the year).  Bassell finished the year with 17 shots, including 11 on goal, and her .647 shot-on-goal percentage was the highest by an Eagle with at least 10 shots taken during the year.

Prior to Emory:

Was a four-year member of the Brookwood High School Women's Soccer Team, serving as the team captain during her senior year... Earned all-region honors... Was coached by Jeff Becker in high school... Played club soccer for the Atlanta Fire United, where she was coached by Mark Makain and Mike Morgan... Helped her club team reach the state's final four... Also ran for the cross country team in high school and was a world Irish step dancer.

Personal:

Born February 13th... Was a four-year scholar-athlete award winner and a member of the National Honor Society in high school... Her brother, Brandon, is an all-UAA high jumper on the Emory Track and Field team.
