Junior (2014):

Peterson had a breakthrough season for the Eagles’ defense during her junior year, seeing time at both outside and center back.  Peterson was selected to both the all-South Atlantic Region Third Team and the All-University Athletic Association Second Team for her efforts during the year.  The only Eagle to start all 19 games during the season, she helped Emory’s defense record a 0.438 goals-against average (the 13^th-lowest mark in Division III in 2014) and 11 shutouts, while limiting opponents to averages of 7.6 shots and 3.4 shots on goal per game.  She was selected as the UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week on November 3^rd, after helping Emory shutout Carnegie Mellon University (ranked fourth in Division III at the time), holding the Tartans to just five shots in the game.  Peterson led all Eagles in minutes played during the year, playing the entirety of 14 of the team’s 19 games.  She finished the year with nine shots, including a pair on goal.

Sophomore (2013):

Peterson was one of eight Eagles to appear in each of the team’s 21 games in 2013, including 12 starts during the campaign, both career-best marks for the sophomore.  The outside back logged a total of 1,105 minutes, helping lead an Emory defense that shutout 10 opponents and ranked 20^th in Division III with a 0.557 goals-against average, while limiting the opposition to 8.95 shots and 3.3 shots on goal per game.  Peterson played all 90 minutes during the Eagles’ 8-0 win over Agnes Scott on October 23^rd, marking the first time in her career that she played a full contest.  She finished the year with eight shots, four of which were on goal.

Freshman (2012):

Peterson played in 20 games off the bench during her freshman season.  She assisted on two goals during the season, including the game-winning goal in overtime during the team's 1-0 win against Franklin and Marshall College on September 2nd.  The defender also helped the team record a .461 goals-against average, the 13th-best mark in Division III, and a 0.583 shutout percentage, the 30th-best mark in the country.  Peterson and the Eagles defense held opponents to 7.1 shots and 3.6 shots on goal per game.  Peterson took seven shots during the year, two of which were on goal.

Honors:

Prior to Emory:

Played on the Clear Lake High School soccer team for four seasons, serving as a team co-captain during her senior year... Named to the All-State Second Team and All-District First Team... Garnered her team's All-Around Most Valuable Player award in 2012... Coached by Andy Gaworecki in high school... Played club soccer for the Albion Hurricanes, where she was coached by Russell Gee... Helped her team win the Premier League Championship, and reach the finals of the regionals.

Personal:

Born April 1, 1994... Worked as a tutor over the summer... Was a member of the National Honor Society and a Superintendent's Scholar in high school.
