The Emory University Women's Soccer Team will travel to LaGrange, Georgia on Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:00 PM for a non-conference matchup with the LaGrange College Panthers.

Emory Eagles
After a pair of ties during conference play last weekend, the Eagles now stand at 7-1-5 for the year, including a 3-0-4 mark in games away from the Woodruff P.E. Center.  Emory fell to 19th in the latest NSCAA poll, 12th in the D3Soccer.com poll, and fourth in the South Atlantic Region rankings.  Emory has outscored its opponents 24-8 this season, and began the week ranked 165th in Division III with 1.85 goals per game, and 37th with a .559 goals-against average.  The squad has outshot its opponents by a 270-111 margin, including a 149-48 edge in shots on goal.

Senior Emily Feldman leads all Eagles with five goals and 11 points this season, while sophomore Cristina Ramirez and senior Charlotte Butker are tied for the team lead with four assists apiece.  Junior goalkeeper Liz Arnold has started every game in goal for the Eagles this season, and ranks 41st in Division III with a 0.588 GAA and 91st with an 0.833 save percentage.

Emory is led by Head Coach Sue Patberg, now in her 10th year with the team.  She has compiled a 133-30-31 record with the Eagles entering Tuesday's game, good for a .772 winning percentage.  During her 22-year career as a college head coach, which includes stints at Division I programs in Georgia and Minnesota, Patberg is 279-117-49.  She is assisted by Rachel Moreland, Caroline Coates and goalkeeper coach Mike Wentzler.

LaGrange Panthers
LaGrange will enter Wednesday's game on a seven-game losing streak, that has seen the squad drop to 5-11-0 overall this season, including a mark of 3-5-0 in home contests.  The Panthers have been outscored 42-18 this season, while being outshot by a 266-135 margin, including a 150-76 deficit in shots on goal.  The team began the week ranked 328th among Division III teams with 1.13 goals per game and 358th with a 2.627 goals-against average.

The Panthers' offense has been led by junior Andrea Richard, who has scored five goals for the campaign.  Senior Courtney Slauson has played the majority of time in goal, recording a 2.46 GAA and a .739 save percentage.

The Panthers are under the leadership of Head Coach Fred Wagenaar, who is in his first year with the team after spending the previous nine with Graceland University, during which he registered a record of 139-27-19.  He is assisted by Hope Sims.

Series History
This will be just the second meeting all-time between the Eagles and the Panthers.  The two teams previously played in LaGrange on October 17th, 2001, with Emory coming away with a 6-0 victory.

Emory's five ties this season are two shy of the program and NCAA record of seven, set by the Eagles during the team's run to the NCAA Division III Championship game in 2012… The Eagles have played in six overtime games this season, four short of the program and NCAA single season record of 10, also set in 2012... Emory has six shutouts through 13 games this season… Liz Arnold's 40 saves this season are eight shy of her career high, set last year...
