Last Minute Goal Gives William Smith Win over Emory Women's Soccer

The Emory women's soccer team fell to 10th-ranked William Smith College in the second game of the Bob Baptista Invitational hosted by Wheaton College (Ill.) on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Kristina Camaj netted the game winner with just 3:55 minutes remaining in regulation to give the Herons a 1-0 victory over the Eagles.

William Smith outshot Emory 18-6 in the contest and had an 8-6 advantage on corner kicks. The Herons had eight shots on goal while the Eagles had five. Senior goalkeeper Liz Arnold made seven saves in the game while William Smith goalie Kaileen Murray made all five stops for the Herons.

Emory will look to stop their current skid the next time out as they face Washington & Lee and Bridgewater College next Friday and Saturday in the Washington & Lee tournament in Lexington, VA.
