Cristina Ramirez Tabbed as UAA Offensive Player of the Week

Senior Cristina Ramirez of the Emory University Women's Soccer team has been tabbed as the University Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is first UAA honor for Ramirez in her career and the second weekly accolade the Eagles have received this season.

Ramirez posted her best performance of the season on Friday night as the Eagles defeated Case Western Reserve, 4-0, as the Eagles finished the weekend 1-1 in UAA action. The Boca Raton, Fla. native scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist for a season-high five point effort. On Sunday, Ramirez started and played 67 minutes, registering two shots in the overtime defeat to Carnegie Mellon.

Emory returns to the field on Tuesday, October 25th in the final regular season home game of the season as the Eagles host Division II Brevard College at the Woodruff PE Center. The game is set to get underway at 6:00 pm.
