Hannah Meyer Honored on NSCAA All-Region Third Team

Senior defender Hannah Meyer of the Emory University Women's Soccer team has been named to the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) South-Atlantic All-Region Third Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

This marks the first time in Meyer's career she has been selected to the NSCAA All-Region team. Earlier this season, the Austin, TX native was named to her second straight All-University Athletic Association First Team and garnered Academic All-District honors by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

In 2016, Meyer captained the Eagles defensive unit in all 17 games, helping Emory hold the opposition to 18 goals in 17 games (1.00 goals-against average) and averages of 7.3 shots and 3.4 shots per game. She tied a career-high on the offensive end with four points, scoring a goal in Emory's 3-2 win over Berry and picking up assists against Cal Lutheran and Case Western Reserve. In her career, Meyer appeared in 67 games, making 62 starts, racking up three goals and two assists for eight points.
