Emory University senior Madison Phaneuf was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for Women's Soccer on Monday afternoon after leading the Eagles to a 2-0-1 record this past week. It is the first time in her career she has earned the weekly conference honor.

Phaneuf netted a goal in all three games during the week including scoring the first of the team's two goals in Emory's first UAA win on Sunday vs. #14/15 Brandeis. She finished the week with three goals for six points (both team highs) and had eight shots with seven being on target.

The Eagles return to the field Wednesday night with the final non-conference matchup of the season against Covenant College, beginning at 7:30 PM at the WoodPEC.
