Women's Soccer Places Four on All-UAA Team; Nimmer Named Rookie of the Year

Four members of the Emory University women's soccer team were recognized Monday morning with their selections to the All-University Athletic Association Team as voted on by the league coaches.

Freshman Kaitlyn Nimmer highlighted the four Eagle honorees as she was tabbed as the UAA Rookie of the Year and one of two Eagles to land a spot on the All-UAA First Team. Senior Grace Reyer joined her on the First Team while sophomore Riley Miller and senior Mia Han earned Honorable Mention acclaim.

Nimmer becomes the fifth player in team history to be chosen as the UAA Rookie of the Year and first since Peyton Robertson in 2019. Nimmer provided an immediate boost in her first season with the Eagles, leading the team in goals (9), points (20) and game-winning goals (3). She is the first rookie to reach 20 points in their debut season since Emily Feldman in 2011 and the 14th freshman in team history to reach that figure. Nimmer scored in four UAA contests, tying for the conference lead, and scored in seven of the final nine regular season games. She was the team leader in shots (69) and shots on goal (35).

Reyer makes her second straight appearance on the All-UAA First Team after setting a career-high in both assists (8) and points (20) as a senior. She started 17 of 19 games and recorded at least one point in 13 games, including a streak of seven straight games with at least one point to end the season and scored in both of Emory's NCAA tournament games. She tied for sixth in UAA scoring with five points, picking up an assist in five conference matches.

Han earned her first All-UAA honor as she was one of five Eagles to record 12 or more points on the season. In UAA play, Han started all seven games and registered five points, with all five coming in contests against NYU and Chicago.

For Miller, this is her second appearance on the All-UAA team after earning a spot on the First Team as a freshman. In her second season, Miller was one of four field players to start all 19 games and her work on the backline helped the Eagles post nine shutouts on the season while holding opponents to an average of 4.58 shots on goal per game.

The Eagles advanced to the NCAA Second Round for the fourth time in the last five seasons and had an overall record of 8-5-6.
