Emory University freshman Megan Beach recorded an NCAA ‘B’ cut time and two first-place finishes during the top-ranked Eagles’ dual meet victory over the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) on Saturday. Beach won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:24.04, good for an NCAA ‘B’ cut mark. She also claimed an individual victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:33.08. The freshman capped off her day with a time of 55.08 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle, good for a fourth-place finish. Beach’s performance helped the Emory women to a 138-61 win over SCAD, as the team improved to 3-4 in dual meets this season.
