Emory University junior Sadie Nennig registered two NCAA Division III ‘B’ cut performances and two first-place finishes, leading the Eagles to a dual-meet victory over NCAA Division I UNC Wilmington. Nennig won the 100-yard backstroke with a ‘B’ cut time of 58.06 seconds. She also recorded a provisional qualifying time in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing third with a mark of 2:06.78. Nennig’s second first-place finish of the meet came as a part of the 200-yard medley relay team, as the junior swam the leadoff backstroke leg and helped the team win the event with a time of 1:48.12. She rounded out the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.13. Nennig accounted for 15.75 points, helping Emory defeat UNC Wilmington 195-100 in its first dual meet of the 2012-13 season.
