Emory University junior McKenna Newsum-Schoenberg won a team-best three events at the Blue-Gold Intrasquad on Friday afternoon. In the opening meet of the season, Newsum-Schoenberg, swimming for the Gold team, claimed wins in each of the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:29.11), 200-yard butterfly (2:07.63), and 500-yard freestyle (5:11.20). She also added a second-place finish as a part of the team’s 400-yard freestyle relay (3:42.55). The two-time all-American accounted for 28 of the Gold team’s points, as the squad fell to the Blue team by a 159-128 score.
