Sophomore Mara Rosenstock and freshman Emma Watson will represent Emory University at the NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships on February 26th and 27th at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Rosenstock and Watson are two of 16 female divers that have been selected from the Midwest, South and West regions to compete at Grinnell this Friday and Saturday. Region 2 offers four allocations for the NCAA Division III Championships to be held in March with the qualifying breakdown as follow: 1-Winner from day one; 2-Highest finisher day two, not already invited; 3-Highest finisher day one, not already invited; 4-Highest finisher day two, not already invited.

The 1-meter event will take place starting at 2:00 PM CST on Friday afternoon with the 3-meter event to follow at noon CST on Saturday. Rosenstock is coming off her first two career All-UAA honors at the UAA Championships this past weekend, taking second in both the 1-meter (410.65) and 3-meter (435.85) events. Watson meanwhile, placed fifth in the 3-meter (406.20) and eighth in the 1-meter finals (343.80) at the UAA Championships.  The rookie diver posted season-high marks in both events during the preliminaries, scoring 365.50 in the 1-meter and 410.10 in the 3-meter. Rosenstock's 3-meter score in the finals was a season best while her top 1-meter mark, 411.95, came during the Emory Diving Invitational back in November.
