Emory University senior Lorne McManigle helped the third-ranked Eagles advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Championships with 5-0 wins over Agnes Scott College and the 18th-ranked University of the South.  In the Eagles’ second round win over Agnes Scott, she teamed with Gabrielle Clark to win the first doubles match 8-0.  In the third round against host school Sewanee, the duo earned a 8-4 win over the Atlantic South Region’s fifth-ranked pairing in the first singles match, and McManigle later claimed a 6-3, 6-2 win in the third singles match.  The senior, ranked 10th in the region in singles play, improved to 19-9 on the season in singles matches.  She is also ranked fourth in the region in doubles play, and holds a 26-8 record in doubles matches this season.  McManigle has helped lead the Eagles to a 21-4 overall record in 2011, and to their 21st NCAA quarterfinal appearance.
